Our Local Trail Neighbors: Meet Swamp Rabbit Cafe

We pride ourselves on being local. Yes, it's a trending theme as we circle around from large scale business of a major metropolis to our growing city of Greenville. We're locally owned with a GIRL BOSS and we support those around us who are like-minded. When you stay with us, at any of our 5 properties, we'll leave you a list of all things to do and see that make Greenville what it is: small, beautiful, and fiercely independent. Swamp Rabbit Cafe- Eat Local Ride Bikes

Meet Swamp Rabbit Cafe. Located on the Swamp Rabbit Trail about 2 miles from the Inn, they put a stake in the ground as the placeholder for EVERYTHING locally grown, sourced and made within about 150 miles of Greenville. Why? Co-owners Jac and Mary explain: "By buying local, we know exactly where our food comes from and how it was grown, we can be certain that our produce is fresh and harvested at its peak, and we keep our dollars within our local economy". And they not only source local grocery products, but they also have a commercial bakery which they source local flour and sell to other business in town for catering and events. They even deliver by bike!

This year, like year's past, they're offering the best for Thanksgiving. If you've never reserved a turkey or ham or bought one of the fresh made pies, well, you're doing it wrong. From places like Lush Acres and Timberock Farms, you'll receive the very best of the best that local Upstate SC farmers have to offer this holiday season. Nothing beats the flavor and taste of a locally raised, humanely managed, pastured produced bird, and Swamp Rabbit Cafe brings you to the source of great food. You can also pick up local and regional beer and wine, including organic varieties as well!
