Here is a list of FAQ’s that will answer most questions our guests and future guests may have.  If you still have questions you may email us at stay@swamprabbitinn.com or call or text us at 864-345-7990.  Office hours are 11am – 4pm Monday – Friday and 24 hour emergency guest service.  We will respond to your requests promptly.

 

How can I check availability and prices and book a room?

The best way to check is on our website swamprabbitinn.com  Please click the “Book Now TR” or “Book Now GVL” buttons and type in your dates and you will receive a list of the available rooms at all of our locations.  If you would like to book the entire inn you can book that online or have further questions please email us or call us. We will respond promptly.

 

How many locations do you have?

We have 2 inns and 6 vacation rentals.  We have an inn in downtown Greenville, two blocks from Main Street and two blocks from the Swamp Rabbit Trail and a cottage and 3 townhouses in downtown Greenville close to the bike trail and a mile from downtown Greenville.  We have an inn in downtown Travelers Rest and two vacation rentals near Furman University. The Swamp Rabbit Trail is right across the street from our inn in Travelers Rest.

 

Do the rooms have private bathrooms?

Swamp Rabbit Inn Greenville:  Yes, all 6 of the rooms have private, en suite bathrooms.

Swamp Rabbit Inn Travelers Rest:  Main House Azalea, Camellia, and Magnolia Rooms have private, en suite bathrooms.  The Poppy Room uses the hall bath off the kitchen.

Swamp Rabbit Lodge (individual room rentals):  The Judy and Elroy rooms have private, en suite bathrooms.  The Jane and Cosmic Lounge use the hall bathrooms and there are two hall bathrooms.

 

How and when will I receive my Check-In Instructions?

We use a keyless entry, lock system and will email you a 4-digit code for SELF CHECK-IN a few hours prior to your arrival (around noon), or sooner if reservations is made closer to check-in date. Please check your spam and pr0motions folders as it sometimes lands there.  Since this is self check in, late check in is permitted. If you do not have access to email or text on your mobile phone while traveling please contact us the day before check in so we can send you your check in instructions. Please observe our quiet hour policy from 10pm – 7am and be courteous to other guests if you are arriving late.

Do you have on-site parking?

Yes. We have seven parking spots in our lot and is free for our guests at our Swamp Rabbit Inn in Greenville. There is ample parking at our Swamp Rabbit Inn in Travelers Rest as well as our other vacation rentals.

Will there be a staff member on site? 

The cleaning crew will be on site most afternoons. However the Swamp Rabbit Inn operates primarily as self serve guest experience. We do not have an overnight staff member on site, if you have an emergency, any questions, or concerns, you may call or text us at 864-345-7990.

What time is check in and check out?

Check in time is at 4:00 pm and check out time is at 11:00 am

Early check in must be approved and there is a $10.00/hour early check in fee.  Late check out must be approved and there is a $25/half hour late check out fee.

 

Do you provide breakfast?

At both the Swamp Rabbit Inn in Greenville and the Main House at the Swamp Rabbit Inn in Travelers Rest (Azalea, Camellia, Magnolia, Poppy rooms) each morning we put out a variety of light breakfast items. Guests are welcome to help themselves. We have Keurigs in each guest room for coffee and tea. Also, in the fully stocked kitchen we supply the food for you to prepare your own breakfast.

Breakfast is not provided for those staying at the Coach House, Studio or Cottage at our property in Travelers Rest since these units have their own, separate kitchenettes or in any of our vacation rentals.

 

Do you allow pets?

Not at the downtown Greenville inn but we do allow pets at all of our other properties  If approved prior to arrival, we allow guests to bring a pet. (No pets at the Swamp Rabbit Inn in Greenville unless renting the whole house). Please note, however, that you will be charged a pet fee of $50.00 per pet which will be added to your folio using the credit card provided at the time your reservation was made.  

Please do not allow your pets in the beds or on the furniture and wipe their paws so the rugs do not get muddy.  We reserve the right to charge an extra $100 cleaning fee if there is excessive mud or dog hair in the property. Do not allow your pets to bark in the property or leave them alone and barking.  Please clean up all outside waste from your pet.

 

Can we rent bikes from you?

We have 12 adult bikes in our bike rental fleet at our Bike Shed at the Swamp Rabbit Inn in downtown Greenville (1 Logan Street). We have 2 cruisers with 3 gears and 10 city bikes with 7 gears to get around town or up the trail to explore Furman University or Travelers Rest, SC.  

text us at 864-345-7990 to reserve your bike in advance. We are by appointment only for bike rental although we can usually accommodate bike rentals between the hours of 11-3 most days.  Best to call ahead to make sure we have bikes available at the time you would like to rent.

Half Day Bike Rental:  4 hours/$15

Full Day Bike Rental:  8 hours/$25

Self serve bike rental for guests staying at the Swamp Rabbit Inn in Greenville.   If a bike does not have a reserved sign on it you are free to rent it.  You will find waivers hanging on clipboards next to the yellow door downstairs. Please fill out a waiver and either mark “bill room” or “deposit cash” and put the waiver into the red metal box by the front door. We also provide helmets and locks if you rent one of our bikes.

Swamp Rabbit Trail Directions From Greenville Inn

The Swamp Rabbit Trail is two blocks from the inn.  Go left out of our driveway, through the stoplight across Academy Street, past the soccer fields and digital sign for the Kroc Center and the trail is on the left to head up to Travelers Rest (10 miles) and to the right for downtown Greenville. There are lot of restaurants, shops and a breweries to enjoy along the trail and in Travelers Rest!

 Common Courtesy For Other Guests 

For those staying at one of our Swamp Rabbit Inns, you will be sharing common areas with other guests, please observe our quiet period between the hours of 10:00 pm and 7:00 am. No loud talking, playing music, children playing in hallways or loud TV volume during these hours.

Sheets are provided in the drawers of the beds.

 

Do you provide towels and sheets?

Yes.  Please send us an email at stay@swamprabbitinn.com before 11 am if you require additional linens or towels.

For vacation rentals.  We supply a limited amount of towels and linens.

What are the check-out instructions?

Please leave all bed linens on beds and sleeper sofas. 

Place bath towels, hand towels and washcloths in the laundry room if staying at one of our vacation rentals (not applicable at either of our Swamp Rabbit Inns). 

If property includes a dishwasher, place any dirty dishes in the dishwasher and start it. 

Except for the Greenville Inn and the Travelers Rest Inn (Main House only), please throw away any unused food left in the refrigerator. 

Place furniture to its original position. 

Leave trash can liners in bathrooms as the housekeeping staff uses them as they clean the rooms. 

If property includes a grill, please clean if used and make sure that propane tank is left in the OFF position.
